makam 7 kota sayong
makam 7 kota sayong
Hari minggu yg lepas, selepas dari bandar kluang. Me ingatkan hendak pulang lalu jalan mersing, balik ke kota tinggi.
Tapi me tukar laluan juga.
Me singgah pula, menziarah makam kota sayong. Bekas tempat persemayam sultan johor generasi ketiga, sultan alaudin riayat shah ii sebelum ke kota lama. [+ old johor fort ]
Hanya satu kawasan makam berbumbung hijau. Sedih juga melihatnya. Dengan papan tanda yg ada terjemahan bahasa inggeris lintang pukang.
Gambar-gambar lebih besar di aminus3.
the sayong fort once served as the administrative center for johor sultanate between 1535-1540. after melaka was invaded and annexed by the portuguese in 1511, sultan mahmud with his followers retreated to pagoh and from there to johor and died at kampar, indonesia in 1528. his son, sultan alauddin riayat shah (1528 – 1564) returned to johor and chose kota tua as his new administrative center. however, the portuguese armada attacked pekan tua and he was forced to withdraw to sayong and set up his administration again in 1536. the portuguese attacked sayong before a peace treaty was signed by both sides.
after sultan alauddin riayat shah succesfuuly attacked and captured aru and acheh in 1540, he abandoned sayong and moved to kota tua (kota batu – johor lama).
